The Penja is our hottest pepper in the program. The berries are slightly smaller than the conventional pepper, but have it in itself! Spicy on the palate develops relatively quickly quite a sharpness. Back then remains a small tingling on the tongue. Not as hot as chili, but can still what, the Penja pepper!
In Cameroon, in west central Africa, this pepper is grown according to tradition in small village communities.
The black Penja pepper is picked just before full maturity and dried in the sun.
Fits perfectly with all dark meat and braised dishes and dark sauces.
