New in the WauWau pepper assortment!

Do you feel like a taste adventure? Then try our two new pepper varieties.

Why wander far and wide when good things are so close - with these two pepper varieties, you will embark on a culinary journey to distant corners of the world.

From the pepper assortment: Voatsiperifery pepper

The Voatsiperifery pepper comes from a wild collection from Madagascar. And that's how it tastes. Spicy, earthy, plus a little lemony - one customer said, "Like a spice blend at all." The small pepper berries resemble the cubeb pepper, they have just as style beginnings on the berry. However, the Voatsiperifery pepper (What a name!) is much smaller. When grinding, you'll notice that it may be a little softer than a regular pepper, but with a WauWau pepper grinder, that's not a problem! In terms of spiciness, I think it is superior to an average black pepper, so it should be used sparingly at first. With its exotic aroma, it certainly adds a special touch to the dish, which is not immediately classifiable. Ideal to use as a little kitchen secret, so to speak.

Pepper assortment 2: Assam pepper

New in the WauWau pepper assortment is also the Assam pepper. The first thing that stands out is the shape of the berries. One could easily confuse it with blackberries. The grains are also larger than conventional peppercorns, which also makes it not usable with every pepper mill: WauWau manages that! Some grinders can not pull in larger berries well to break the berries. Since then does nothing, nothing comes out of the mill. But we have designed our grinder, especially after the update a few months ago, that even these berries can be broken well, and so nothing can stand in the way of a pepper pleasure.
The Assam pepper smells a little like cucumber when you first "sniff" it. "Ideal in winter! If the winter cucumbers taste like nothing more, then I give this pepper to it." , said a customer recently.
When tasting, this impression is reinforced: cucumber, but only very slightly. In addition, there is a subtle smoky aroma, and the same customer also gives a recommendation: she thinks this pepper goes well with minced meat. By the way, it's not spicy either, but for that or despite it, the tongue starts to tingle. Spooky!
