Packaging design for TicToc travel pepper mill

The Viennese comic artist Albert Mitringer has designed the packaging for the WauWau travel pepper mill TicToc. He was inspired to design the mill itself; he says it reminds him of a film can from the good old analog times - on the one hand by the size, on the other hand also the shape. The knurled edge of the mill's rotating mechanism also looks very technical, like individual parts of a photo camera.Albert Mitringer designs for WauWau

The task includes not only a formal design of the packaging, the essential information about the pepper mill must also be communicated, not only textually, but also in pictures.

The packaging thus shows a scene from the movie theater, the individual information, such as "Swiss grinder", are projected as clips on a screen, the film is called "TICTOC" like the mill. The colors are red-black-white, because the TicToc is also anodized in these colors.

Packing for WauWau TicTocThe travel pepper mill TicToc is characterized by its size, it is only 75mm high - the smallest possible version with the Swiss stainless steel grinder. In addition, it has the advantage that the bottom of the mill can be screwed and thus the pepper crumbs remain in the mill. It is thus not only suitable for travel, but you could also practically stow it in your handbag and take it to the movies. For example, for peppered popcorn...
