Cabbage fritters

Ingredients 200 g spot
600 g white cabbage
4 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons sugar
150 g onion
1 pc. Lemon peel (thumbnail size)
½ tsp caraway
Preparation
  • Boil Fleckerl in salted water until soft, drain water, set aside.
  • Cut the onion into small cubes.
  • Quarter cabbage, remove stalk, cut cabbage into squares about 1 cm.
  • Heat oil in large pot, caramelize sugar in it, add onion and fry.
  • Finely chop the cumin together with the lemon peel
  • Add cabbage and caraway seeds to the onion, pour a little water if necessary, salt and stew until soft.
  • Finally, mix the Fleckerl under the cabbage, before serving briefly allow to infuse.
Note This dish can take a good dose of freshly ground pepper!
