Barbara's kitchen: Apricot & Chili - Apricot Roaster

Apricot & Chili

Apricot roast with chili. Sweet and spicy.

Barbara Weissbacher cooks under the label name "Barabaras Küche", once a month she shows us special recipes from her repertoire. In this way, small or larger delicacies are always created for the WauWau blog, which can be easily recreated at home - such as "Marillenröster".

She always tries to cook with regional ingredients, currently is just apricot time, an apricot roaster is a flavorful combination of sweet and sour, a roaster goes particularly well with a spicy cheese. So as a chutney quasi. This roaster is spiced up with a twist of chili from the WauWau chili mill.

Take a look at the video: You will see, Barbara likes to turn this mill. What happens then? After the video shoot, I got to taste the roaster, it was wonderful, though quite spicy. Well, some like it not only hot, but also spicy! So: turn a little less often, because from such a WauWau chili grinder comes out quite a portion of freshly ground chili: and you can taste it!

You fill the WauWau Hotchilimill with dried chili peppers, it is delivered with chili of the variety "Bird Eye" (Bird Eye here in the shop>>>), relatively hot and dry in taste. Like all our spice varieties, this chili is certified organic quality. In general, almost all chili varieties are suitable for the WauWau chili grinder, which so it can grind well, it is important, however, the chili peppers well dried fill, so really crunchy. Otherwise, the chili tends to smear the grinder and only one thing helps: empty and re-dry.
