Eine schöne Kombination aus einer WauWau Pfeffermühle und einer WauWau Salzmühle.

Praktisch gefüllt!

Füllen lassen sich die Mühlen ganz einfach, indem der Mühlenkopf gerade nach oben abgezogen wird, er ist nur auf die Achse gesteckt. Ein elastischer Gummiring sorgt dafür, dass der Kopf dann auch auf der Mühle gut sitzt. Die Füllmenge liegt bei etwa 30gr bei der Pfeffermühle, durch die Zylindrische Form kann man das Holz großzügig aufbohren, damit ist reichlich Platz für die Pfefferkörner und es muss nicht so oft nachgefüllt werden (im Verhältnis zur Größe).

Die Pfeffermühle ist bestückt mit einem WauWau Edelstahlmahlwerk, das von uns selbst produziert wird. Hierfür verwenden wir einen hochwertigen Edelstahl und legen Wert darauf, dass keine Plastikteile im Spiel sind. Denn Plastik ist zwar billiger zu produzieren, wird aber langfristig porös und kann dann leicht brechen. Die Zahnung des Mahlwerks wird bei uns in eigener Werkstatt mit einem sogenannten Shaper gehobelt, ein Gerät aus dem Jahr 1952, alt aber immer noch gut in Schuss. Die scharfen Kanten des Mahlwerks brechen bzw. mahlen das Pfefferkorn optimal und sorgen für ein gutes Aroma des Mahlgutes.

The mills are very easy to fill: simply pull the mill head straight up; it is only attached to the axle. An elastic rubber ring ensures that the head sits securely on the mill. The filling capacity is approximately 30 grams for the pepper mill. Due to the cylindrical shape, the wood can be generously hollowed out, providing ample space for the peppercorns, so it doesn’t need to be refilled as often (relative to its size).

The pepper mill is equipped with a WauWau stainless steel grinding mechanism, which we produce ourselves. We use high-quality stainless steel and ensure that no plastic parts are used. Although plastic is cheaper to produce, it becomes porous over time and can easily break. The teeth of the grinding mechanism are milled in our own workshop using a so-called shaper, a machine from 1952, old but still in excellent working order. The sharp edges of the grinding mechanism optimally crush and grind the peppercorns, ensuring a good aroma of the ground pepper.
