Das Brett namens Bob

Die WauWau Werkstatt hat ihr Produktprogramm mit Schneidbrettserien erweitert, Bob ist ein Modell davon.
Das Tüfteln um die Form hat zwar einige Zeit in Anspruch genommen, aber hat auch richtig Spass gemacht. Herausfordernd war vor allem von der klassischen rechteckigen Form wegzukommen, Kurven und fluide Formen geben ein schönes Spannungsverhältnis, ein rechter Winkel muss nicht unbedingt sein! So entsteht eine spezielle, unverkennbare Brettform, die den Tisch spielerisch bestückt. Zum Dekorieren, zum In Szene setzen – und schneiden und jausnen macht Spass!

Die Schneidbretter sind aus einem Stück Holz gefräst, also nicht verleimt, da erfahrungsgemäß die Leimfugen mit der Zeit aufgehen. Und schöner ist die Zeichnung aus einen Stück ausserdem noch dazu.

The Cutting Board Called Bob

The WauWau Workshop has expanded its product range with a series of cutting boards, and Bob is one of the models.
Developing the design took some time, but it was also a lot of fun. The biggest challenge was moving away from the classic rectangular shape; curves and fluid forms create a beautiful interplay of lines, and a right angle isn’t always necessary! This results in a special, unmistakable board shape that playfully adorns the table. Perfect for decorating, for showcasing food – and cutting and snacking is fun too!

The cutting boards are milled from a single piece of wood, so they are not glued together, as experience has shown that glue joints tend to come apart over time. And the grain pattern from a single piece of wood is also much more beautiful.
