The Ben mill series is kept very reduced in its form, the pure cylindrical shape is broken only by the slightly offset edges. The wood grain comes out very well, the surface of the natural woods are waxed and oiled as protection against contamination. Thus, the pores of the wood are closed and there are no stains. Cleaning the surface is very easy with clean water. Over time, the mills get a little patina through use and exposure to daylight, actually it becomes more beautiful and individual, depending on how the mills are used.

Practically filled!

Filling the mills is very easy by pulling the mill head straight up, it is only plugged onto the axle. An elastic rubber ring ensures that the head then also sits well on the mill. The filling quantity is about 30gr at the pepper mill, by the cylindrical shape you can generously drill the wood, so there is plenty of space for the peppercorns and it does not have to be refilled so often (in relation to the size).

The pepper mill is equipped with a WauWau stainless steel grinder, which is produced by ourselves. For this we use a high quality stainless steel and attach importance to the fact that no plastic parts are involved. Because plastic is cheaper to produce, but in the long term it becomes porous and can then break easily. The teeth of the grinder are planed in our own workshop with a so-called shaper, a device from 1952, old but still in good shape. The sharp edges of the grinder break or grind the peppercorn optimally and ensure a good aroma of the ground product.
