Monulkiri pepper

comes from Cambodia and is characterized by its pronounced spiciness. The berries are black, uniformly round and quite large grain. I find it not as spicy as the classic Tellichery pepper and certainly not as hot as the Bucay pepper from Ecuador.
Both the smell and taste it reminds me of a green stuff, possibly Maggi herb? So spicy aromatic, but with a hint of sweetness...Judge for yourself!
